MineStar Site Manager (FIFO)

About the role

Caterpillar is looking for a MineStar Site Manager based in Brisbane, working on a FIFO roster to support key customers across several remote mine sites. The role keeps the Command for Hauling (Autonomous Haulage System - AHS) running at peak performance, leads a team of MineStar Application and Onboard Specialists and works closely with Product Support teams. It suits someone with mining operations or fleet management experience and a track record of leading high-performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site contact for MineStar productivity and safety initiatives
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Autonomous Haulage System (AHS)
• Work with Product Support teams to implement interim corrective actions for system performance issues
• Build, lead and develop a team of site-based technical specialists, covering performance, training, compliance and career development
• Monitor and drive KPIs such as AHS availability, production outcomes, cost per tonne, fleet productivity and safety performance
• Ensure compliance with Caterpillar and MineStar policies and support continuous improvement projects
• Coach and mentor internal staff and customer personnel on system operation and best practices

Required profile

• Hands-on leader with strong operational experience in mining, fleet management or similar environments
• Proven leadership and team management capability
• Valid manual driver's licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• Desirable: mining, automation, construction or machine technology experience; exposure to fleet management systems or control rooms; project management experience; degree in Engineering, Mining, Data Analytics or a related discipline; familiarity with MineStar or similar platforms; rostered (FIFO/DIDO/shift-based) experience
