Mine Site Cleaning Supervisor (DIDO/FIFO)

About the role

Compass Group Australia is recruiting Mine Site Cleaning Supervisors to work across Central Queensland locations. You will run the day-to-day cleaning of mine site facilities and supervise teams of 2 to 10 cleaners, reporting regularly to upper-level management. The roster is 7 days on, 7 days off, with 12-hour shifts and a 1-hour unpaid break; DIDO is available from Central Queensland locations, while FIFO is only available from Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and present mine site facilities such as offices, crib huts, bath houses, locker rooms, training facilities and amenities.
• Supervise and coordinate cleaning teams of 2 to 10 people across active mining operations.
• Monitor workforce compliance, training status, site access requirements and operational records using client systems.
• Run daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety interactions with work groups.
• Train and onboard new employees, mentor team leaders and support staff moving through the supervisor process.
• Carry out workplace inspections, hazard identification and incident investigations, and report injuries, near misses and corrective actions.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, equipment testing and compliance, and liaise with Village Management and site stakeholders on service improvements.

Required profile

• Supervisor certificates S123 and G2, with experience as a supervisor or in a relevant role.
• At least 2 years' experience in a mine site supervisory role; Standard 11 certificate desirable.
• Available on a 7x7 roster, subject to operational changes, and willing to work overtime.
• Reliable transport, neat and professional appearance, and able to cope with extreme Central Queensland weather.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.

Required skills

• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook calendar.
