Mine Operator – Heavy Equipment (Full‑time)

About the role

Adbri Cement is seeking a motivated, team‑oriented Mine Operator for its Klein Point Mine on the Yorke Peninsula. This full‑time permanent role supports the extraction of over 2 million tonnes of limestone per year and its supply to the Birkenhead cement plant. You will work alongside other operators on a 4/5 sportsmen’s roster, operating a range of mobile and fixed plant to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety, health and environmental standards while completing tasks to a high quality.
• Identify improvement opportunities and log feedback through the maintenance management system.
• Operate Cat 988, Cat 992G FEL, Cat 777 dump trucks, Cat D11 dozer and Cat 12/14 grader.
• Perform housekeeping, basic maintenance and general labour duties.
• Report incidents, hazards and corrective actions promptly.

Required profile

• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Demonstrated experience operating mobile plant or heavy equipment.
• Previous experience in a similar heavy‑industry or mining environment is advantageous.
• Forklift and EWP high‑risk work licences and a Confined Space ticket are highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
