Mid-Level Software Engineer – Digital Marketing Platforms

About the role

The ABC is seeking a mid‑level Software Engineer to join its Product & Technology division. You will help design, develop, maintain and support the organisation's digital marketing software platforms, working remotely with teams across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain digital marketing data platforms focused on CRM, personalisation and segmentation.
• Design and build reusable integrations for personalisation and re‑engagement across digital properties.
• Create API integrations with vendor tools and ABC cloud services to enable tailored audience experiences.
• Design marketing journeys using internal and third‑party tools.
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Product teams to shape the Marketing Technology strategy.
• Ensure the platform remains privacy‑focused and complies with industry standards.
• Maintain and extend APIs built on a modern TypeScript, Go and AWS stack.

Required profile

• Significant experience developing with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and Go in a cloud environment.
• Understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies; experience with Customer Data Platforms is a plus.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills, plus familiarity with modern development practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a development team.
• Knowledge of event‑driven architecture, privacy and security principles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation abilities.
