About the role
Join Downer’s Energy & Utilities team as a Meter Reader in Wollongong. This is an active, outdoor position where you will travel to residential and commercial sites to capture utility meter data using a handheld device.
Key responsibilities
- Visit homes and businesses to read gas, water and electricity meters.
- Enter readings accurately into a mobile application.
- Meet daily target numbers for meters collected.
- Locate meters using provided equipment and follow safety procedures.
Required profile
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong time‑management, reliability and customer‑service orientation.
- Commitment to safety and following schedules.
