Meter Reader – Mornington Peninsula

About the role

Join Service Stream Group as a Meter Reader on the Mornington Peninsula. You will walk assigned neighbourhoods, record utility meter readings and upload the data using a handheld device. No prior experience is required – full training, uniform and PPE are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately read utility meters on allocated routes.
• Upload and download route information using a handheld device.
• Maintain Service Stream safety standards and represent the company professionally.
• Meet daily and weekly reading targets.
• Communicate regularly with the office support team.
• Work independently while also collaborating with other field staff.

Required profile

• Current valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Mobile phone for communication and data upload.
• Ability to walk, bend and squat for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in most weather conditions.
• Availability Monday‑Friday, 30‑38 hours per week, with up to 45+ minutes travel each way.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
