Meter Reader – Melbourne Metro (Casual)

About the role

We are seeking reliable individuals to join our team as Meter Readers in the Melbourne Metro area. You will walk assigned neighbourhoods, record utility meter readings and help ensure accurate billing for our clients. No prior experience is required – we provide full training, uniform, PPE and a hand‑held device.

Key responsibilities

• Read and record utility meters on allocated routes in a timely and safe manner.
• Upload/download route information using a hand‑held device and communicate any issues to the office support team.
• Maintain Service Stream safety standards and represent the company professionally.
• Meet daily and weekly reading targets while working independently.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for daily travel (up to 45 minutes each way).
• Own mobile phone.
• Ability to walk, bend, squat and work in various weather conditions.
• Available to work Monday‑Friday, 30‑38 hours per week.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic use of a hand‑held data collection device.
