Mental Health RN – Defence Primary Care

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team at Robertson Health Centre, providing high‑quality mental health care to Australian Defence Force members in a secure, low‑acuity primary healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive mental health assessments, interventions, medication management and treatment planning for individuals and groups.
• Conduct fitness‑for‑duty, pre‑deployment and post‑deployment assessments for Defence personnel.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure patient‑centred care.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum two years recent post‑RN experience in mental health within a primary or specialist setting.
• Australian citizenship with baseline security clearance.
• Commitment to ongoing CPD and ethical, patient‑focused practice.

Required skills

• CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Proficiency in focused psychological strategies and psychological therapy as defined by the Medicare Schedule.
