Medication Safety Pharmacist

About the role

Join BD’s Medication Safety & Infusion Clinical Team as a Medication Safety Pharmacist, supporting hospitals across Australia and New Zealand to optimise medication management through automation, technology and best‑practice processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver product training, clinical education and technical support for medication automation solutions such as Pyxis™ and Alaris™.
• Support product evaluations, clinical simulations, implementations and post‑implementation optimisation programmes.
• Design and deliver customised education programmes for healthcare customers.
• Partner with hospitals to improve medication workflows, conduct audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects across the customer lifecycle, from pre‑sale support to ongoing optimisation.
• Provide customer insights to inform future product development and represent BD at industry events.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy with current pharmacist registration.
• Significant experience in a hospital pharmacy environment.
• Strong understanding of medication safety, governance and best‑practice medication management.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Proven planning, organisational and project‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience with medication automation technologies (e.g., Pyxis™, Alaris™ or similar platforms).
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to engage and influence multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
