Medical Receptionist

About the role

Imaging Queensland (IQ), part of Integral Diagnostics (IDX Group), is looking for a friendly, organised and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join its Brisbane CBD clinic on a full-time basis. The role works a 9-day fortnight on a 12-month contract, Monday to Friday with no weekend work. The clinic offers X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine and BMD, supported by experienced radiologists and imaging professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
• Manage patient bookings, appointments and enquiries
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient queries
• Process referrals and patient information
• Liaise with radiologists, sonographers, mammographers and other clinical team members
• Process payments and Medicare/private health claims
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Support the day-to-day running of the practice

Required profile

• Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Confident managing a busy reception and telephone environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Professional, approachable and empathetic, able to work in a close-knit team
• Understanding of privacy, confidentiality and patient care
• Radiology or specialist practice experience is highly regarded but not essential
