Mechanical HVAC Service Technician

About the role

Join Johnson Controls' Sydney service team as a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician, working with industry‑leading technologies and high‑profile commercial customers. You will service, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment while enjoying a supportive environment that values work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, servicing, repairs, equipment overhauls and commissioning.
• Carry out small commercial installations, upgrades and read technical drawings and plans.
• Work with equipment from package units to chillers and central plant systems, including exposure to Johnson Controls Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Prepare quotations for small works and manage jobs from start to completion.
• Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience servicing commercial HVAC and air‑conditioning systems.
• Refrigeration or Electrical Trade Qualification (HVAC experience essential).
• Restricted Electrical Licence and current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills with a proactive, safety‑focused approach.
