Mechanical Engineer – Industrial

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Industrial team in Brisbane. You will work on projects that deliver high‑value solutions for bulk material handling systems, contributing to the design, analysis, and implementation of equipment that supports mining and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs, including calculations, 3D models, and construction drawings.
• Lead design activities, prepare specifications, data sheets, and reports for mechanical equipment.
• Visit client sites for inspections, project meetings, scoping, installation, and commissioning support.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical capability within the team.
• Contribute to proposals, engineering estimates, and capital cost assessments.
• Apply Safe Design and Value Engineering principles throughout all tasks.

Required profile

• Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification and active pursuit of RPEQ registration.
• Experience with conveyors, chutes, reclaimers, and loading facilities.
• Familiarity with mining and manufacturing standards.
• Strong written communication to justify technical decisions.
