Mechanic – Full‑time position in Perth

About the role

Arnold Clark is looking for a dedicated mechanic to join its Perth service centre. You will prepare customers' vehicles for the road, ensuring every job meets high standards of safety and quality while working with a wide range of makes and models.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnose engine, mechanical and electrical faults using computer‑based diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts and perform DVSA vehicle testing where authorised.
• Road‑test vehicles after repairs and complete all required documentation.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and follow checklists.

Required profile

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Solid experience in the automotive industry.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Full driving licence.

Required skills

• Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 certification.
• Proficiency with computer‑based diagnostic equipment.

• Salary £40,000‑£50,000 DOE plus benefits.
