Marketing Manager – Rare Disease Portfolio

About the role

Lead marketing for a growing rare disease portfolio across neurology, tumours and bone/endocrine disorders. You will shape portfolio strategy, drive launch readiness and create connected customer experiences for Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated disease plans, long‑term brand strategies and omnichannel campaigns across multiple rare disease brands.
• Own end‑to‑end marketing execution including insights, brand planning, promotional review, budgets, agency management, congress participation and sales‑force enablement.
• Prepare for future launches by defining segmentation, positioning, messaging, forecasting, governance and effectiveness tracking.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, Sales, Commercial Excellence, global teams, patient advocacy and external agencies.
• Mentor and build capability within the marketing team, influencing across a complex matrix organisation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated pharmaceutical marketing experience in specialty care with strong fundamentals in segmentation, positioning, brand planning and campaign optimisation.
• Experience managing multiple brands or indications across different lifecycle stages, including launch preparation.
• Proven ability to prioritise investments using customer insight, data, forecasting and commercial judgement.
• Strong cross‑functional leadership in a matrix environment and excellent written and verbal communication.
