Manager/Senior Manager, Tax Services

About the role

William Buck is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to lead engagements for mid‑market clients across a range of industries. You will work closely with tax partners to deliver strategic advisory and compliance solutions while building long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive tax advisory.
• Assist tax partners with ATO risk reviews, audits, transfer pricing reporting and other complex tax matters.
• Prepare and review Private Binding Rulings, Tax Effect Accounting calculations, consolidated income tax returns and fringe benefit tax returns.
• Produce quarterly tax update communications and support R&D tax incentive applications.
• Provide technical training to the Tax Services division and advise internal teams on taxation issues.
• Manage workflow to meet client service standards and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Progression towards or completion of CA, CPA, CTA, or MTax qualification.
• Relevant tax/accounting experience with business clients, preferably in a Big‑Four or mid‑tier tax division.
• Ability to work independently and develop junior team members.
