Manager Technical Leads - Projects

About the role

Seqwater, which supplies water to more than three million people across South East Queensland, is creating new roles as part of its operating model transformation. The Manager Technical Leads - Projects position sets the technical direction for major infrastructure projects and ensures that critical engineering decisions are safe, robust and risk-informed. You will lead a team of Project Technical Leads and drive technical excellence, governance and assurance across complex, high-value projects.

Key responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for major infrastructure projects and ensure engineering decisions are safe, robust and risk-informed
• Lead a team of Project Technical Leads
• Deliver safe, strategic outcomes and build strong stakeholder partnerships
• Foster a high-performing culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (mandatory)
• Significant professional experience in water industry infrastructure projects in a specialist capacity
• Proven ability to give clear, defensible technical assurance and advice to senior leaders and regulators
• National Police Check
• Current Class C driver's licence
• Current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in a relevant discipline

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of relevant Queensland and Australian legislation, standards and regulatory frameworks
• Technical assurance and advice to senior leaders and regulators
