Manager – Private Tax & Advisory (Melbourne)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Manager to join its Private Tax & Advisory team in Melbourne. You will work closely with Directors and Partners to shape service delivery for privately owned businesses, high‑net‑worth families and family groups, while leading a talented group of professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support Partners and Directors in managing and delivering complex client engagements across a diverse private‑entity portfolio.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their full business needs and deliver impactful tax and advisory solutions.
• Lead engagements and client accounts, building senior‑level relationships with guidance.
• Manage team workflow and productivity, fostering a high‑performance, client‑centric environment.
• Act as a role model, embodying Deloitte’s purpose and values.
• Coach team members on engagements and serve formally as a Career Coach.

Required profile

• Experienced tax professional with prior exposure advising private clients in a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm.
• Strong client focus, able to manage a portfolio of diverse engagements simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven track record of building and leading high‑performing teams.
• Relevant Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
