Manager, Group Finance Non-Financial Risk and Reporting

About the role

Macquarie Group is hiring a Manager, Group Finance Non-Financial Risk and Reporting in Sydney for a 9-12 month maximum-term contract. The team provides line 1 review, challenge and advice across Group Finance, supporting financial and regulatory reporting, Treasury Finance, ESG, accounting standards and audit governance. It works with stakeholders globally and with colleagues across line 1 and line 2 to strengthen risk management and support informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted risk partner to Finance, People and Engagement finance teams, reviewing, challenging and advising on financial and regulatory reporting, Treasury Finance and governance processes.
• Work with stakeholders to identify, assess and monitor risks, evaluate the effectiveness of controls and support the management of issues, incidents and regulatory obligations.
• Contribute to risk reporting, thematic reviews and governance forums to influence risk outcomes across a broad and complex finance environment.
• Help drive a strong risk culture, support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure emerging risks are identified and managed.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of finance and accounting functions, including risks within financial and regulatory reporting and the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Experience investigating incidents and issues, identifying root causes, and applying finance, accounting and tax policies and standards.
• Knowledge of financial processes, internal controls and Treasury Finance activities, including controls that manage organisational risk.
• Experience in operational risk management, including risk assessments, control environments, issues management and incident management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience preparing and presenting reporting, risk insights and recommendations for internal forums and committees.
