Manager Financial Accounting, Analysis and Reporting

About the role

WA Country Health Service (WACHS), the largest country health system in Australia, is recruiting a Manager Financial Accounting, Analysis and Reporting. This is a permanent full-time appointment. The manager plans and leads the financial accounting functions of WACHS, provides accounting services and expert advice to stakeholders, produces timely and accurate financial performance reports and maintains financial systems and controls.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary accounting practices and standards, including preparing financial statements and management reports using large integrated computerised financial systems.
• Demonstrated senior-level experience in the public or private sector formulating, implementing and monitoring financial policy and planning in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management, with the ability to develop and implement financial governance and control systems.
• Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• Membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
• Valid Australian work rights; permanent appointments may be made to citizens, permanent residents or visa holders.
