Manager, Engagement & Change Advisory

About the role

Join Aurecon’s Engagement & Change Advisory team in North Sydney as a Manager responsible for leading complex stakeholder and community engagement programmes. You will work on high‑impact infrastructure projects across Australia, providing strategic advice and building trusted client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, design and delivery of large‑scale stakeholder, community and organisational change programmes.
• Build and manage senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to executives and project directors.
• Identify and convert business development opportunities through proposal leadership and work‑winning activities.
• Provide strategic advice on stakeholder risk, social impact, change readiness and communication approaches.
• Coach, mentor and develop consultants, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering complex advisory outcomes in stakeholder or community engagement, communications, social impact or change management.
• Proven success leading large programmes across government, infrastructure, utilities or private‑sector environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development and revenue growth.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision‑makers.
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Expertise in stakeholder engagement, community engagement and change management methodologies.
• Knowledge of social impact assessment and organisational transformation frameworks.
• Tertiary qualification in Communications, Change Management, Human Resources, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Community Development or a related discipline.
