Manager - Corporate Tax, Financial Services

About the role

EY Financial Services is looking for a Manager to join its Corporate Tax team in Sydney. The team works with colleagues in Sydney and Brisbane to advise financial services clients on complex tax matters, keeping up with regulatory and legislative changes. The role can be done from EY offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra or Adelaide, and may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Australian income tax advisory and compliance services to clients in banking and capital markets, wealth and asset management (including superannuation funds) and insurance
• Advise a portfolio of leading financial services clients on complex tax matters, manage income tax compliance and provisions, and act as a trusted advisor
• Oversee and develop a team to ensure quality delivery of tax services, collaborate with internal stakeholders on growth opportunities and help implement the growth strategy

Required profile

• 8+ years of Australian corporate income tax or fund tax experience, ideally from a top-tier or mid-tier accounting firm or corporate business in superannuation, insurance, banking or wealth management
• Completed CA qualification or equivalent
• Strong influencing skills, ability to turn technical information into clear recommendations, and excellent client-facing skills to lead meetings and grow accounts
• Leadership and mentoring abilities, and a track record of training and delegating to junior staff
