Manager, Control Assurance - IT Audit

About the role

Deloitte is hiring a Manager for its Control Assurance team in Brisbane, leading large-scale internal audit and control transformation projects for some of Queensland's most iconic brands. The role shapes emerging assurance capabilities such as Agile IA and assurance automation, and involves purposeful client work with real community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from end to end, solving complex problems, managing timelines and guiding the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Review, design and implement governance, risk and control frameworks that keep clients resilient.
• Contribute to emerging focus areas such as Agile IA, integrated assurance, risk culture and assurance automation.
• Mentor junior team members, coach colleagues and build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across the Deloitte network.

Required profile

• Experience in an internal audit, advisory or consulting role.
• Tertiary qualification with relevant professional accreditation.
• Track record of delivering reports, proposals and presentations.

Required skills

• Strong coaching skills and the ability to mentor colleagues and build internal relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a talent for making the complex simple.
• Experience facilitating interactive, client-centred and action-focused workshops.
• Experience reviewing, designing and implementing governance and risk frameworks and operating models, and designing processes and the governance that oversees them.
