Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will support the day‑to‑day operation of Novotel Sydney Darling Square by responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces are kept in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance requests via HubOS.
• Complete daily plant rounds, identifying faulty equipment and arranging repairs.
• Liaise with relevant departments to return out‑of‑order guest rooms and public areas to service quickly.
• Accurately record all maintenance tasks, including completed work and preventative maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role or hotel environment preferred.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts across the week.

Required skills

• Experience operating a variety of equipment.
• Proficiency with small hand tools.
