Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort team. In this full‑time position you will support the Maintenance department, ensuring the property runs smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in leading and executing the preventative maintenance programme across the resort.
• Supervise a team of two Maintenance Officers and provide hands‑on repairs.
• Oversee service areas such as electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security systems, hydraulic services and contractor works.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) best practices.
• Manage stock control, supplier coordination and preparation of quotes for minor Capex works.
• Support recruitment and development of the maintenance team in partnership with the Hotel Manager.
• Be on‑call for after‑hours caretaker duties as required.

Required profile

• Previous hands‑on maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Experience supervising or supporting a maintenance team.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance programmes.
• Relevant trade or building qualification (highly regarded).
• Proven ability to liaise and coordinate with contractors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional presentation.

• MS Office (Excel, Word) proficiency.
