Mainframe Application Developer (12‑month contract)

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is looking for a Mainframe Application Developer to join its on‑site team in Darwin for a 12‑month contract. You will design, develop and maintain enterprise‑level mainframe applications, supporting enhancements, integrations and production delivery within a collaborative technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance mainframe application code and supporting systems.
• Assist in testing, debugging and deploying system changes.
• Support integration and interface development across multiple systems.
• Participate in release activities across development, test and production environments.
• Contribute to technical documentation and support materials.
• Provide issue resolution and production support as needed.
• Work closely with project teams to deliver application enhancements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mainframe application development environments.
• Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2 and SQL.
• Understanding of the system development lifecycle and release processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Experience working in team‑based delivery settings.
• Basic understanding of integration and system interfaces.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical capability.
• Exposure to enterprise or government ICT environments is a plus.
