Low Level HPC Developer

About the role

We are a technology company at the forefront of high‑performance computing, operating three world‑class green supercomputer clusters. We are looking for a low‑level software developer to design, implement and optimise scientific processing tools used in signal‑processing and subsurface imaging.

Key responsibilities

• High‑level and detailed design of scientific processing software.
• Implementation, testing, optimisation and maintenance of code in the most suitable language (C/C++, Java, Python).
• Inspection and maintenance of software written by other team members.
• Become conversant in the problem domains of new and existing products.
• Provide 3rd‑level technical support for complex customer issues.
• Give and receive regular, constructive feedback with peers.
• Collaborate on priority and scheduling for rapid product iterations.
• Mentor an intern or junior developer.

Required profile

• Expert‑level software development experience in C or C++ (Java or Python a plus).
• Strong ability in low‑level performance optimisation, including threading, concurrency, vectorisation, memory alignment and loop unrolling.
• Proven work in data management, large I/O, highly‑parallel computing or numerical processing (any industry).
• Excellent written and spoken business and technical English for client interaction.
