Logistics Specialist - Freight & Customs

About the role

CAS, a division of the Mondiale VGL Group and Adelaide's leading international logistics provider and customs brokerage, is hiring a Logistics Specialist. You will run daily operations across a diverse freight portfolio and act as a trusted advisor on transport and distribution, keeping shipments compliant, deliveries seamless and client accounts current.

Key responsibilities

• Run the operation: coordinate daily FCL, LCL and airfreight shipments from booking through to delivery
• Lead AQIS and customs compliance, including pay-in entries and fumigation/inspection bookings
• Keep every job accurate and current in CargoWise, including loading transport invoices
• Monitor deliveries so deadlines are met and documentation is correct
• Protect margins by collecting and de-hiring empty containers within free time
• Support line managers on transport and distribution, help develop transport strategies and contribute pricing input on transport costs
• Champion continuous improvement and workflow processes across the team
• Partner with customers and overseas agents, manage transport providers and resolve issues in line with company procedures
• Work closely with the Manager – Client and Business Services and colleagues across the business, and respond to every email promptly and professionally

Required profile

• 3+ years of international freight forwarding experience in Australia, with the depth to work independently and guide others
• Strong working knowledge of AQIS and customs requirements
• Current police check, or the ability to complete one immediately
• Passion and dedication to growing a career in a dynamic, challenging industry
