Logistics SME – SAP Implementation (Australia)

About the role

The Logistics AU Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides functional expertise and business process knowledge for the ANZ SAP S/4 implementation, supporting end‑to‑end process and system design, documentation, testing and adoption across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Logistics domain SME input across design, build and deployment.
• Document and validate current‑state processes and business requirements, including pain points and opportunities.
• Support future‑state process and solution design aligned to SAP S/4 and business needs.
• Participate in workshops and design discussions; review and validate proposed process/system changes.
• Support issue and risk management within the stream, including escalation when required.
• Contribute to testing activities such as scenario input, execution support, defect triage and outcome validation.
• Support change and readiness activities including process documentation, training inputs, communications and adoption support.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide regular updates to the Stream Lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in process improvement, project, transformation or system‑related initiatives.
• Ability to document requirements and processes and translate business needs into practical solutions with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience supporting workshops and delivery activities (testing, training, implementation).
• Comfortable working in a changing environment with competing priorities.
• Strong Logistics functional knowledge and effective communication in a matrix environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage priorities and timelines.
• Ability to travel on a routine basis.

Required skills

• SAP/ERP implementation experience (advantageous).
