Locum Occupational Therapist - Regional Coastal South Australia

About the role

A regional health service in coastal South Australia, approximately four hours from Adelaide, is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a mixed acute and healthy ageing caseload. The placement starts on 23 November 2026 and runs for a minimum of three months, with potential to extend.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Occupational Therapy services in acute inpatient care, supporting patient assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning
• Work in healthy ageing, helping older adults maintain independence, safety and quality of life
• Assess functional needs and recommend equipment prescriptions and home modifications
• Work alongside allied health professionals in a multidisciplinary team

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• At least two years' experience in home modifications, equipment prescription and acute inpatient care
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and discharge planning skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Available from 23 November for 3+ months; Australian working rights required, with Working Holiday Visa holders welcome
