Locum General Medicine Registrar (PGY3+) - Regional Hospital

About the role

Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Locum General Medicine Registrar to cover inpatient unit shifts in a regional hospital setting. The role suits a PGY3+ registrar looking for solid earning potential, broad ward-based medical exposure and paid shared on-call. You will work as part of a rotating team of three registrars, supporting inpatient care, ward rounds, discharge planning and team coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Cover inpatient general medicine ward shifts, generally 07:00 to 17:30
• Share clinical on-call from 17:30 to 21:00, rotated between the three registrars
• Receive 1 hour of paid on-call at your locum rate, plus extra pay for calls or hospital return
• Work alongside consultant physicians, RMO teams and nursing staff

Required profile

• General or provisional AHPRA registration
• PGY3+ with General Medicine or Physician training experience
• NSW Working with Children Check
• National Criminal Record Check
• Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
