About the role

Maitland Hospital is looking for a locum ED Senior Registrar (SRMO) to provide overnight emergency department cover. The role suits doctors who want defined night shifts that fit around other commitments, travel plans or existing rosters. It is a hospital-based locum position in the Hunter region.

Key responsibilities

Assess and manage emergency department presentations
Support treatment planning and patient flow
Complete clinical documentation and handover
Escalate clinical concerns safely and appropriately
Work collaboratively with ED staff

Required profile

Current AHPRA registration
Recent emergency medicine experience at SRMO level
Ability to work safely within scope
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required

What we offer

$220 per hour
Overnight shifts, generally 23:00 to 09:00
Supportive nursing and medical teams with clear escalation pathways
Credentialing and compliance support through the recruiter
