Locum Dentist

About the role

Oral Health & Beyond Collective, which includes DentalCareXtra, KIDS, Snoring Laser Care and NovoGen, is looking for a Locum Dentist to join its Mackay practice. The position is available for an initial period of six months, with the possibility of extension, and pays a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general dental care to patients of all ages, including examinations, preventive care, restorations and other indicated procedures.
• Diagnose and manage oral health conditions such as caries and periodontal disease.
• Develop and discuss evidence-based treatment plans with patients.
• Educate patients on maintaining good oral health and preventive practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards.
• Collaborate with dental and administrative colleagues to support coordinated patient care.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia and AHPRA as a Dental Practitioner.
• Demonstrated experience in general dentistry.
• Sound clinical skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centred practice and ongoing professional development.
