Local Site Support Engineer (Level 1) – Desktop Support

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on, problem‑solver who enjoys helping colleagues keep their technology running smoothly. As a Local Site Support Engineer (Level 1) you will be the first point of contact for office users, providing on‑site assistance for a wide range of devices and services.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve everyday issues on desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices (Windows, macOS, Linux).
• Deploy, configure and de‑commission corporate hardware, including imaging of operating systems and asset tagging.
• Troubleshoot core office services such as printing, Wi‑Fi, voice systems, digital signage and smart‑office sensors.
• Install and configure network hardware – switches, routers and Wi‑Fi access points – and assist with basic firewall, NAC and DNS maintenance.
• Provide temporary replacements for faulty devices to minimise downtime.
• Support audio‑visual equipment and PABX phone systems in coordination with specialised teams.
• Document incidents, guide third‑party technicians and support audit/compliance activities.

Required profile

• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Team player who works closely with Level 2 specialists and external vendors.
• Attention to detail for asset management, documentation and compliance requirements.
