Loader Operator - Underground LHD

About the role

Redpath, a global underground mining contractor, is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to join its operations at the Federation Mine in New South Wales. The role supports safe and efficient underground mine development and production by operating underground load haul dump (LHD) equipment on a long-term project.

Key responsibilities

• Operate underground loaders (LHDs) safely and efficiently
• Muck development and production headings
• Transport and manage ore and waste material underground
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Maintain production targets while adhering to safety standards
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
• Work with mining crews and supervisors and maintain high housekeeping standards

Required profile

• Previous underground shotcrete experience with Jacon, Normet Spraymec or similar equipment
• Experience with agitator trucks, batch plants and related underground mining machinery
• Current G1/G2/G8 or equivalent underground mining inductions (highly regarded)
• First Aid and CPR certification and a valid manual driver's licence
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in remote locations
