Live-In Housekeeper - Remote Coastal Far North Queensland

About the role

Two full-time live-in housekeeper positions are available at a remote coastal property in Far North Queensland, with accommodation, meals and a flight from Cairns provided. The property has motel-style accommodation, gardens, a pool area, restaurant and bar facilities and conference spaces. Positions start on 9 November 2026 and 24 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service motel rooms to a high standard, make beds and thoroughly clean bathrooms
• Clean and maintain common and public areas, and restaurant areas including sweeping and mopping
• Window cleaning and general presentation duties, plus spring cleaning and detailed periodic cleaning
• Water and maintain garden areas, and keep the grounds around the accommodation block tidy
• Weekly cleaning of an offsite contractor's house and laundry duties
• Assist guests in a friendly and professional manner and take initiative on areas needing attention

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience
• Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Friendly, courteous manner with guests and flexibility with general duties
• Current driver's licence preferred but not essential

What we offer

• Level 3 Award full-time pay: $27.97 per hour Monday to Friday, $34.96 Saturday, $41.96 Sunday, with annual leave
• Accommodation at $140 per week including utilities, with an own room in a shared staff house off site
• Five duty meals per week and a flight from Cairns
• Close-knit remote hospitality team in a quiet, tropical setting
