Litigation Officer

About the role

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Litigation and Legal Services team as a Litigation Officer. Working under the guidance of senior staff, you will handle less complex litigation, conduct legal research, prepare briefs and court documents, and appear in hearings for debt recovery, tax technical and administrative law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake less complex litigation tasks under senior supervision.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs for counsel.
• Draft and file court documents, correspondence and manage case timeframes.
• Participate in dispute resolution processes and represent the organisation in hearings.
• Support senior litigators on more complex matters and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Law degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Interest in litigation, dispute resolution and legal practice.
• Willingness to develop expertise in debt recovery, tax and administrative law.
