Litigation Lawyer

About the role

Stynes Bastian Lawyers is a young boutique firm in Melbourne seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join its close‑knit team. You will handle a diverse portfolio of matters ranging from commercial disputes to minor road‑safety offences, working directly with partners to deliver results for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing litigation matters through to conclusion.
• Take new enquiries, initiate cases and see them through to settlement.
• Provide clear verbal and written advice on a variety of litigious issues.
• Prepare correspondence, court documents and brief counsel when required.

Required profile

• Current Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years post‑admission experience in litigation, with exposure to Supreme, Federal, County and Magistrates Courts.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.

Required skills

• Experience with LEAP Legal Software (preferred).
