Lifestyle Assistant (Part‑time, Palmwoods)

About the role

Sundale is seeking a part‑time Lifestyle Assistant to join its Palmwoods residential facility. Working Tuesday to Friday, you will help design and deliver therapeutic recreation programmes that enhance the wellbeing, social connection and quality of life of older residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Recreation Coordinator in planning and delivering tailored therapeutic recreation and lifestyle activities.
• Support residents to engage in meaningful activities both on‑site and within the wider community.
• Observe resident participation, record outcomes and provide feedback for assessments and progress reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident involvement, programme results and interventions.
• Collaborate with residents, families, volunteers and multidisciplinary team members to foster an inclusive, resident‑focused environment.

Required profile

• Warm, empathetic and creative with a genuine passion for supporting older Australians.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with residents, families and colleagues.
• Person‑centred approach with a commitment to meaningful engagement.
• Reliable, flexible and able to manage time and documentation effectively.
