Lifestyle & Activities Assistant

About the role

The Lifestyle & Activities Assistant supports residents to engage in social, cultural, spiritual and leisure activities, enhancing their quality of life and maintaining functional abilities. You will work closely with the care team to deliver a high standard of assistance and promote active participation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents in daily activities and personal care as needed.
• Develop, coordinate and deliver lifestyle and activity programs within the residential care setting.
• Encourage resident participation in social, cultural, spiritual and recreational events.
• Monitor resident wellbeing during activities and report any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of activity participation and outcomes.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Australia.
• Current National Police Clearance.
• Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance.
• Previous experience delivering personal care and lifestyle programs in a residential aged‑care environment.

Required skills

• Allied Health Assistance qualification (Certificate III/IV).
• Experience planning and facilitating resident activities.
