Legal Counsel – Workplace Relations

About the role

Join the Australian Legal team of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners as a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel focused on Workplace Relations. Based in North Sydney, you will work at the heart of one of Australia’s leading FMCG businesses, partnering with People & Culture, Safety and business leaders to resolve complex employment and industrial relations matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on performance, misconduct, disciplinary actions, employee disputes, terminations and industrial relations issues.
• Interpret and apply modern awards, enterprise agreements and workplace legislation.
• Conduct and support investigations into escalated workplace matters.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, Safety and business leaders to deliver clear legal guidance.
• Support workforce, payroll and governance initiatives across a diverse employee base.
• Prepare, review and negotiate employment‑related documents, policies, agreements and regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with external law firms, regulatory bodies and tribunals such as the Fair Work Commission and Fair Work Ombudsman.
• Identify opportunities to improve legal processes, policies and ways of working.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience as a Workplace Relations lawyer.
• Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving.
• Ability to manage matters independently, form sound legal opinions and make balanced recommendations.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Australian workplace legislation, modern awards and enterprise agreements.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Negotiation and drafting of employment contracts, policies and regulatory submissions.
