Legal Counsel – Senior Commercial

About the role

Axiom is seeking a senior commercial legal professional to support a leading Australian technology and digital solutions organisation. The role is highly visible, partnering closely with sales, product and leadership teams to deliver pragmatic legal advice on complex commercial and technology‑driven transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted legal adviser to the commercial sales function throughout the full lifecycle of complex transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements, balancing risk with business objectives.
• Triage and resolve a broad range of legal and commercial issues in a fast‑paced environment.
• Advise on complex technology and IT‑related matters for high‑value enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure commercially sound outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Manage a dynamic portfolio of matters, exercising sound commercial judgment.

Required profile

• Strong commercial legal experience with proven ability to manage complex contracting matters.
• Demonstrated capability in negotiating sophisticated commercial agreements.
• Experience in technology, IT, telecommunications or similar enterprise environments is highly desirable.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and commercial acumen to partner with sales teams and senior leaders.
