Legal Counsel

About the role

Logicalis Australia is looking for a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join its Melbourne team. You will provide practical legal and commercial advice across a wide range of matters, helping the business operate effectively while managing risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and commercial advice on operational and strategic issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, statements of work and standard terms.
• Support bid and tender processes through legal review and risk assessment.
• Assist with corporate compliance, reporting obligations and privacy/data‑protection initiatives.
• Help manage customer and supplier disputes as required.
• Collaborate with People & Culture and external advisers on employment and workplace matters.
• Contribute legal expertise to business projects and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Law degree with eligibility to practice in Australia.
• 3–7 years post‑qualification experience in private practice, in‑house, or a mix of both.
• Proven experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain legal concepts to non‑legal stakeholders.
• Commercial judgement and a solutions‑focused approach to risk management.
