Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Strategic Research Cluster (Science)

About the role

The Faculty of Science at UNSW is recruiting up to ten full‑time Lecturers or Senior Lecturers to join its Strategic Research Cluster Initiative. Successful candidates will be based in Sydney and will work within a host School that matches their disciplinary expertise while contributing to interdisciplinary research clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Join one of three Faculty Strategic Research Clusters and collaborate across Schools.
• Develop and lead internationally competitive research programmes aligned with societal challenges.
• Contribute to research‑led teaching and curriculum development.
• Mentor postgraduate students and junior researchers.
• Secure external and internal research funding.

• Outstanding researcher with a strong record of scholarly achievement.
• Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Alignment with a disciplinary home within the Faculty of Science.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in academia.
