Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Psychology

About the role

Macquarie University is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to contribute to teaching and leadership in Psychology, with a focus on Clinical Neuropsychology and Applied Psychology. The role involves curriculum design, unit development, and supervision of postgraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and redesign units for accredited undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology courses, including the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials and assessments across face‑to‑face and online modalities.
• Supervise Master of Clinical Neuropsychology and Master of Professional Psychology students.
• Create an engaging, inclusive learning environment for diverse student cohorts.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Psychology with current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist (practising) and endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.
• Demonstrated high‑quality teaching experience, including online and face‑to‑face delivery, with evidence of excellent student outcomes.
• Experience teaching evidence‑based psychological and neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic approaches.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with neuropsychological assessment tools such as Wechsler tests and personality inventories.
• Experience teaching evidence‑based therapeutic and counselling techniques.
