Lecturer in Research Training

About the role

Flinders University is seeking a Lecturer in Research Training to lead the university‑wide Research Training Hub. The role focuses on designing and delivering innovative, inclusive researcher education for HDR students and senior researchers across diverse cohorts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve innovative researcher training programs across HDR pathways and research career stages.
• Develop engaging, technology‑enhanced learning experiences using online and blended delivery approaches.
• Create and coordinate postgraduate research training topics and pathways for diverse and non‑traditional HDR cohorts.
• Provide mentoring, guidance and capability development support to HDR students, researchers and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and continuous improvement of research training programmes.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen researcher development and HDR engagement.

Required profile

• PhD or EdD (or equivalent doctoral qualification).
• Significant experience in tertiary teaching, researcher development or postgraduate education with evidence of teaching excellence.
• Ability to design and deliver innovative curricula in online, blended and flexible learning environments.
• Strong understanding of HDR pathways, curriculum design and academic quality assurance processes.
• Australian work rights (relocation support available).

• Salary $115,871 – $137,122 per annum plus 17 % superannuation.
