Lecturer – Community Services (Full‑time, Brisbane)

About the role

Acknowledge Education is seeking a full‑time Lecturer in Community Services to join its Brisbane academic team. You will deliver engaging, student‑centred learning for the Bachelor of Community Services, linking theory with real‑world practice.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures and tutorials for specialised units, particularly in Family and Domestic Violence.
• Mark assessments, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate student records.
• Identify and support students at risk, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement of teaching practice and curriculum development.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years full‑time experience in the community services sector; experience in Family and Domestic Violence services is preferred.
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice.
• Confidence presenting, teaching or facilitating groups.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting students and developing future professionals.
• No prior teaching experience required.
