Learning & Development Consultant (12‑month contract)

About the role

Stake is seeking a Learning and Development Consultant on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join its People team in Sydney. The role will design and deliver compliance‑focused learning experiences, translate complex regulatory requirements into engaging training, and help establish a new learning platform as the central source of truth for mandatory learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain learning experiences that help staff meet compliance and risk obligations.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, engaging training content.
• Lead the migration to a new Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure it becomes the trusted repository for mandatory learning records and reporting.
• Develop targeted programs for key personnel and Responsibility Managers in partnership with Risk, Compliance, Customer Success, Operations and other subject‑matter experts.
• Track, report and continuously improve mandatory learning completion, assessment and engagement metrics.
• Work hybrid, spending three days per week in Stake’s dog‑friendly Sydney office.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating clear, compliant learning experiences for adult learners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage LMS migration or implementation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with Risk, Compliance and Operations teams.
• Data‑driven mindset, using completion, assessment and engagement data to refine programmes.
• Ability to develop engaging formats, gamification and incentives while maintaining regulatory rigor.
