Learning and Development Training Officer

About the role

The Learning and Development Training Officer will support Fiona Stanley Hospital by delivering safe‑work and compliance training across the health service. Working closely with the L&D Specialist Training Lead and key stakeholders, you will create engaging programmes, manage learning resources and help build a confident workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess manual handling, patient handling and aggression prevention training.
• Conduct safety observations and competency assessments for patient handling.
• Coordinate training schedules, enrolments and learning activities with stakeholders.
• Create, maintain and upload courses, resources and documentation in the Learning Management System.
• Maintain training records, compliance data and course administration via the LMS.
• Provide guidance to employees accessing training resources and completing learning requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering and assessing manual handling or aggression prevention training.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
• Background in workplace health and safety, ergonomics or a healthcare environment.
• Working towards or completed a Bachelor degree in Human Movement, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred) and current Workplace First Aid/CPR certification.
