Learning and Development Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Senior Manager to lead our enterprise‑wide L&D function. You will shape the learning strategy, design modern ecosystems, and partner with senior leaders to build capability that drives organisational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise L&D strategy aligned with organisational priorities and workforce capability needs.
• Lead and optimise the end‑to‑end learning operating model covering design, delivery, evaluation and systems.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify emerging capability requirements and create targeted learning solutions.
• Use workforce data, learning analytics and evaluation insights to guide investment decisions and measure impact.
• Provide strategic advice on learning, capability development and workforce readiness to executive stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across learning frameworks, governance, digital learning and learner experience.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of L&D specialists, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee LMS governance, compliance training requirements and enterprise learning reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an enterprise L&D function in a complex organisation.
• Track record of developing and implementing L&D strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to build high‑performing teams.
• Expertise in organisational capability, adult learning principles and contemporary learning practices.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at executive level.
• Experience in government, aviation, transport or safety‑critical environments is a plus.
