About the role
This full‑time position designs and delivers Domestic Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) training and specialist services for Corrective Services NSW Academy, aiming to reduce intimate partner and family violence across NSW.
Key responsibilities
- Create and deliver practical training programmes in classroom, on‑the‑job and online settings.
- Support employees throughout their learning journey and assess progress using varied tools.
- Develop and implement training plans, strategies, policies and initiatives.
- Measure training effectiveness and prepare reports, briefings and recommendations.
- Identify training needs and skill gaps in partnership with managers and staff.
- Ensure all training complies with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Deliver quality programmes despite limited resources, competing priorities and organisational change.
- Engage learners and help staff apply DFSV principles and evidence‑based practices.
- Maintain up‑to‑date, compliant training services by staying informed about DFSV practice, adult education and training regulations.
Required profile
- Knowledge of domestic, family and sexual violence, behaviour change principles and risk management.
- High‑level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience delivering training or learning programmes to diverse audiences.
- Relevant qualification in adult education or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Ability to travel across the nominated district(s) and hold a current NSW driver’s licence.
